about

From the liner notes:
THE STAR OF KINTRA - dance by Trevor Monson, tune by Elvyn Blomfield, 2004. A lively and optimistic melody written in memory of John Blomfield. John and Elvyn played in the English band ‘Wild Thyme’ for over 20 years before moving to the Isle of Mull. After his sudden death in 2004, Elvyn wrote the tune and Trev set this dance in his honour. Kintra is the area of Mull where they lived. Used with permission. 4LW, 4x (TM, B3)
